Role Objective

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete production lifecycle of prefabricated modular cabins, food trucks, trailers and containers. This includes managing production planning, material control, shop floor operations, workforce coordination, safety enforcement, and quality assurance. The role requires technical expertise, strong leadership, and exceptional organizational skills to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Production Oversight

  • Oversee the entire fabrication process from planning to execution.
  • Supervise daily manufacturing activities on the shop floor.
  • Develop and implement production schedules aligned with delivery timelines and client specifications.
  • Manage production schedules, manpower allocation, and daily workflow.
  • Assign and prioritize shop and field work to ensure timely project completion.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across all production operations.
  • Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor output, address bottlenecks, and ensure continuous production flow.

Material & Equipment Management

  • Coordinate with the procurement team for just-in-time material availability.
  • Estimate, purchase, and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and raw materials.
  • Plan preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs to reduce downtime.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage teams of machine operators, welders, technicians, supervisors, and laborers.
  • Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise material handling, fabrication (cutting, welding, assembly), and final inspection.
  • Train staff to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.

Technical Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with architectural and creative teams to convert concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
  • Review shop drawings and structural calculations; resolve discrepancies in coordination with engineering.
  • Manage the technical aspects of projects from planning through fabrication, installation, derig, and reconciliation.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare progress reports, work schedules, and updates for management.
  • Provide detailed manpower and machinery plans as per project scope.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Technical Expertise Required

  • In-depth knowledge of steel fabrication processes including CNC cutting, welding, fitting, and painting.
  • Expertise in woodworking, joinery, finishing, structural calculations, and civil engineering.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and using production planning tools.
  • Familiarity with protective coatings, UV protection, waterproofing, and weather-resistant treatments.
