We are seeking a skilled Dental Management System Project Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Dental Management System (DMS). This role will manage the end-to-end process, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring that the system meets the needs of dental practices and enhances operational efficiency. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, the business anaylst, dental professionals, and vendors, to ensure that the DMS is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Software Customization: Ensure that the DMS is tailored to meet the specific needs of dental practices, including features like patient management, appointment scheduling, billing and invoicing, treatment tracking, and reporting – you will overlook the development timeline
System Integration: Oversee the integration of the DMS with existing systems such as electronic health records (EHR), payment gateways, and practice management tools.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the DMS meets all functional and performance requirements before deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Planning:
- Project Scope & Planning: Define and document project goals, scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets for the Dental Management System project.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders (e.g., dental practices, IT team, external vendors) to ensure effective communication and alignment of project objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Regularly assess and update risk management plans throughout the project lifecycle.
- Timeline & Resource Management: Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, and milestones. Ensure timely delivery of tasks and manage resources to avoid bottlenecks.
- Budget Oversight: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining project quality and scope.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear and comprehensive project documentation (including project plans, timelines, and status reports) and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

- Team Coordination: Lead and manage a cross-functional project team, including software developers, QA testers, implementation specialists, and support staff.
- Training & Support: Coordinate training for end-users (dental practitioners, office staff, and administrators) to ensure they are proficient in using the Dental Management System.
- Deployment & Rollout: Oversee the final deployment of the system, ensuring that it’s properly implemented across all locations with minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Ongoing Support & Optimization: Ensure the post-launch support is in place, including monitoring system performance, addressing issues, and providing ongoing updates and improvements based on user feedback.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system optimization, gather feedback from end-users, and implement changes to improve the overall functionality and user experience of the Dental Management System.
- Data Privacy Compliance: Ensure the system complies with relevant data protection regulations, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA (or local regulations), ensuring that sensitive information is securely stored and transmitted.
- Industry Standards: Ensure the system aligns with best practices and industry standards in dental practice management, including scheduling, billing, and reporting functionalities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2-3 years in healthcare software or dental technology projects.
- Proven experience in managing software development projects from conception to deployment, particularly in healthcare management or dental management systems.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, quality assurance testers, and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Dental Management Software or Practice Management Systems (PMS) is highly desirable.
- Project Management: Strong experience in managing complex projects using methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including dental professionals and executive leadership.
- Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve project challenges.
- Time Management & Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC), integration processes, and system deployment.
- Software Tools: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Teams, Zoom).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and ensuring user satisfaction.
- Experience managing SaaS (Software as a Service) or cloud-based/server based software projects.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of business and technology trends in the software industry
