Taaleem is looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead projects to success.
Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, tendering, execution, and delivery, to ensure successful completion. Accountable for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, while leading cross-functional teams and promoting effective communication. Apply project management methodologies and best practices to drive project success, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality results. Contribute to the organization's growth and success by consistently delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting defined objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Project Management
1.Project Planning / Tendering
- Project Cost plan: Estimate associated costs to create the project budget.
- Project Program: Develop a comprehensive project schedule aligning activity sequences, durations, budget, and the Taaleem project business plan.
- Develop the project team: Appoint design and cost consultants.
- Project Design: Lead the design consultants to ensure project design aligns with Taaleem standards and adopts a resilient learning environment.
- Tendering: Oversee the development of the project tender package and manage the tender process until the contract is awarded.
2.Project Execution
- Monitor project progress to ensure the successful completion of the project in accordance with approved project program and within the budget.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, delegating tasks and responsibilities.
- Effective communication and coordination between Taaleem/School and the project team for aligned progress with approved design and program.
- Oversee the authority approval process to secure timely approvals in accordance with the program.
3.Cost Management
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure project progressing withing approved budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost optimization strategies.
- Communicate and manage changes effectively to minimize cost variations.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to process project payments.
- Review and maintain cahsflow and regular cost reports in coordination with the cost consultant.
4.Quality, Risk Management and LEED Certification
- Oversees the quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed Taaleem expectations.
- Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
- Oversee LEED requirements to ensure the project achieves the targeted LEED rating.
5.Project closure and Handover
- Ensure that all project deliverables have been completed as per the defined objectives and criteria for project closure.
- Take charge of the project documentation handover process to the school team, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of reports and records for future reference and audits.
- Conduct a thorough financial review to ensure all expenses, invoices, and financial obligations are properly accounted for and settled.
- Conduct a comprehensive project review to identify lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement. Document these findings for future reference.
- During the defect liability period, coordinates defect resolution, ensuring timely rectification, verification, and documentation for issue closure in collaboration with relevant parties.
Requirements
Education: Degree or higher level education in finance, strategy, business, or commercial discipline.
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role ideally in an Educational Institution or related service provider Industry.
Competencies:
- Analytical skills to measure and manage key risks and KPls.
- Ability to communicate strategy, financial performance, and key financial information in a clear and concise manner to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to discuss and influence effectively at all levels.
- Excellent collaborative skills and able to quickly establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to coach/ mentor colleagues to deliver optimal performance.
