What You Need To Know

The Proposals Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical, commercial, and contractual aspects of tenders and RFQs. This includes managing the entire bidding process from pre-qualification to final submission, ensuring that proposals align with the company’s objectives. The role involves coordinating across departments to gather necessary information, delegating tasks to support teams, and ensuring that all submissions meet client requirements and internal quality standards.

What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Accountabilities:

• Be conversant with the technical and commercial aspects of Tenders/RFQ and have a full understanding of the scope of work.
• Involved in technical, commercial & contractual negotiations with clients during the bidding stage.
• Identify and delegate the scopes of work for supporting departments in order to fulfil client’s bid requirements and ensure that all the relevant information’s are included within the Company’s final proposal.
• Supporting the Tender review meetings internally and ensure all required approvals are in place as per DOA before bid submission.
• Support to conduct RRB for high value bids as per the company policy.
• Interface with engineering and projects to guarantee all design work is carried out with the common target of optimising final cost and schedule.
• Conduct bid / no bid reviews along with the management team gathering all required information’s from sales.
• Review and be familiar with specifications, design, drawing procedures in order to conform to the Company’s Quality Assurance Programme, the specific requirements of Clients and other governmental and/or statutory bodies.
  
  

About You

• Strong leadership skills to manage resources, meet KPIs, and ensure all tender-related activities are completed within deadlines and in line with company policies.
• Engineering & Manufacturing Industry experience (Min 5 years is a must).
• Contracts handling experience (Min 3 years is a must).
  
  

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

• Engineering Degree Qualified – Additional Business / Commerce / Contracts qualifications would be an advantage.
• Prior experience building technical and commercial proposals for control systems.
• Experience building technical and commercial proposals for Pressure test bays, Pressure Test Units and ESD’s.
• Experience handling high volumes of proposals.
