Job Title: QC HVAC Inspector - Aramco Projects

Job Summary: The QC HVAC Inspector is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems in Aramco projects. The inspector ensures compliance with Aramco’s strict quality, safety, and environmental standards, as well as international HVAC codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection and Testing:
• Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC installations, including ductwork, chillers, air-handling units, and ventilation systems.
• Ensure that all HVAC components are installed as per project specifications, standards, and drawings.
• Verify HVAC system functionality by performing testing and commissioning activities such as airflow measurements, system balancing, and performance testing.
• Compliance with Codes and Standards:
• Ensure adherence to Aramco, ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), and other relevant codes and standards.
• Monitor compliance with the quality control program and standard operating procedures for HVAC works.
• Ensure that all materials and installations conform to Aramco’s engineering standards and specifications.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including daily reports, quality checklists, and testing reports.
• Document any non-conformance or quality deviations and work closely with the construction and engineering teams to ensure corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation of quality control documents, such as Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
• Coordination:
• Work closely with HVAC engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely inspections.
• Liaise with Aramco quality assurance representatives during inspections and audits.
• Attend project meetings to provide input on HVAC-related quality issues.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
• Ensure that all HVAC works adhere to Aramco’s HSE policies and procedures.
• Inspect safety conditions on-site related to HVAC installation, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for quality improvements in HVAC installations and testing.
• Provide recommendations for optimizing HVAC design, installation, and operational procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
• Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC inspection for large-scale industrial projects, preferably in oil and gas sectors.
• Previous experience with Aramco projects is highly preferred.
• Certifications:
• Aramco CBT Passed in HAVC preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
• Certified HVAC Inspector (if applicable).
• Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and principles.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES).
• Knowledge of HVAC testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) procedures.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various teams and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying quality issues.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting HVAC technical drawings and specifications.
• Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to work in remote locations, such as oil and gas facilities.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and handle challenging working conditions.

This role is critical for ensuring that the HVAC systems in Aramco projects meet the high standards required for safety, efficiency, and performance in industrial and often hazardous environments.
