Quality Assurance Analyst

The QA Analyst ensures the projects they are involved in are delivered according to the highest standards of error avoidance with team communications that are consistent and clear. He/she energetically pursues a standard of excellence for themselves and the teams they manage and is an efficient and flexible team player, able to effectively handle several assignments under pressure. 

The QA Analyst will be able to manage all QA aspects of a project including providing a single point of contact for QA needs, creating and executing Test Plans, creating and executing a project schedule, communicating and acting on risk, creating and executing test artifacts such as test cases, create and manage project defects, mentor team members, act as QA Lead on a project by project basis. 

This position will work with content and development teams involved in specific projects but will require working closely with the Directors and Partners to ensure the development process is running smoothly and the work product is meeting and exceeding expectations. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage all Quality Assurance related aspects of a project
• Create and execute test plans 
• Lead tester on projects, proofreads content, finds and reports defects, bugs and other issues
• Perform all aspects of testing tasks such as creating and executing manual and automated tests 
• Tests all websites, CMS systems, marketing emails, and applications across diverse platforms, mobile devices, and browsers
• Document defects/issues in the Tracking System, manage and review the Tracking System, and issue resolution
• Help predict project completion based on analysis of issue priorities and count
• Assumes client contact as needed, regarding the discussion and resolution of defects and other issues
• Act as a Quality Assurance subject matter expert within the company

• In-depth knowledge of testing procedures, methodology, and best practices to the point of being integral to establishing the Quality Assurance discipline

• Desire and ability to learn new skills and improve upon current skills
• Must demonstrate a strong interest in application development, the development process, and web technologies
• Working technical knowledge of simple SQL statements, CMS systems, coding languages such as Java, Android, iOS, Blackberry, Windows 8
• Experience testing websites and web applications in multiple browsers
• Experience testing interactive marketing products such as newsletters, emails, banners 
• Experience in testing HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, JavaScript, JSP, and Java
• Experience with Quality Assurance tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Quality Center, Firebug, or similar tools 

Qualifications

• Relevant BA/BS or equivalent technical training and professional work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience and/or combined information systems analysis, design, development, or implementation experience 
• Ability to work under pressure and with a company that is growing rapidly
