Quality Control Engineer

As a Quality Control Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that all construction activities meet the required quality standards and project specifications for our new project in Abu Dhabi. You’ll oversee inspections, testing, and compliance procedures while coordinating with site teams and consultants to resolve quality issues. Your expertise will ensure delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality project outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and track on-site activities, vigilantly ensuring all processes align with project requirements and proactively identifying potential issues for swift resolution.
• Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
• Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
• Coordinate closely with the construction team, harmonizing inspection schedules to align with ongoing construction activities and ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Rigorously follow and enforce approved methods and specifications, guaranteeing all project phases meet set quality benchmarks.
• Develop comprehensive Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) documents, integrating method statement from Technical and Construction teams and outline essential inspection milestones.
• Inspect and evaluate materials received on-site, comparing them against specifications and crafting detailed Material Inspection Reports (MIR) for consultant review.
• Undertake daily site visits, closely monitoring process flows, identifying issues early, prepare the non-conformance reports (NCR) to be reviewed and approved by quality team management, and ensuring adherence to design plans.
• Monitor open NCRs and participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare process documentation, updating forms, templates, and procedures to reflect current practices and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
• Conduct thorough inspections of materials and dimensions, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and accredited designs, and maintaining rigorous standards in construction quality.
• Actively participate in laboratory report reviews and sample testing sessions with external consultants, contributing expertise to validate the quality of materials and construction methods.
• Evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors, assessing their capabilities from a quality perspective to ensure they meet the project's stringent quality requirements.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in civil.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Industrial background is a must.
• Minimum 1 year of international experience.
• Excellent command of English language.
