The Project

Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial workplaces and retail units along with public realm.

The wet utilities design engineer is responsible for managing the design and delivery of the wet utilities for the infrastructure works. This role requires technical expertise in potable water, storm water, sewer and irrigation networks as well as project management skills.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Responsible for the commercial management of work packages collaborating with package managers and reporting into the project commercial lead. Provides risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms, mitigating risks and protecting work packages and project margins through cost control systems.
• Responsible for the commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
• Procurement of subcontract packages and materials including collating tender documentation & administering tenders.
• Accountable for commercial package management and reporting to the commercial lead.
• Establishes cost control systems including administering client and subcontract changes.
• Establishes risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
• Mitigates risks and protect package/project margin.
• Enhances profit by seeking opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering.
• Operates and collaborates as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
  
  

You’ll Need To Have

• Experience working in the United Arab Emirates is essential for client approval.
• Proficient in MS office tools.
• Subcontract profit and loss reporting.
• Administering monthly commercial calendar.
