Job Description
As a Quantity Surveyor at KILONEWTONS, you will play a critical role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects remain within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and BOQs (Bills of Quantities) for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering analyses.
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration.
- Monitor project costs, track variations, and ensure timely valuation of work done.
- Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications, including claims and invoices.
- Review and analyze contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve financial and contractual disputes.
- Maintain detailed records of project costs, expenditures, and financial reports.
- Ensure adherence to FIDIC or other relevant contract conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UAE construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, UAE regulations), cost control, and procurement.
- Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, AutoCAD) and MS Excel.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with UAE construction laws, standards, and permitting processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
