What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers in designing and developing mechanical systems for Life Safety products, managing project plans, timelines, and resources in collaboration with project managers and technical leaders
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and product architects to integrate mechanical designs into overall product development
• Develop mechanical design concepts, prototypes, and 3D CAD models, managing the design process, including simulation and testing, while ensuring compliance with EATON’s engineering standards
• Provide Agile coaching focusing on Scrum, Lean, and Kanban practices, while identifying technology leverage opportunities across product lines
• Lead critical program elements related to supply chain strategy, business process improvement, and supplier engagement and development
• Oversee production processes to maintain quality, productivity, and cost standards
• Support plant and company safety programs, promoting adherence to safety requirements
• Identify training needs and organize skill development programs for team members
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment
• Recognize and reward team achievements to encourage motivation and performance.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in mechanical R&D design
• Solid experience in managing a team of design engineers
• Expertise in injection molding and metal work
  
  
  

Skills

• Proficiency knowledge of technologies, technical project management, and talent management of mechanical resources
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize and prioritize the work
