Job Purpose

• Perform R&D tests in the workshop. This will involve Assembly, dismantling, inspect, evaluate, repair and test tools and components which are being developed.
• Adhere to assembly, disassembly and inspection processes and procedures.
• Accurately record component and material numbers where required.
• Participate in the evaluation and testing of new product lines.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping and keep all work and storage areas organized and tidy.
• Adhere to company waste recycling practices.
• Contribute to the continued improvement of the department processes.
  
  

Note: This is a workshop position without site work.

Individual Quality And Safety Responsibilities

• To company with STATS Integrated Management System when carrying out all work.
• To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
• Ensure all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance and pressure testing techniques.
• Good educational background.
  
  

Experience/ Competence/ Skills/ Knowledge

• Experience in a similar or equivalent mechanical role.
• Experience in hydraulic control systems.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to use inspection and lifting equipment.
• Understanding of Environment, Health and Safety.
  
  

Personal Qualities

• A positive attitude and pleasant manner.
• Ability to be flexible in working practices (hours, activities etc).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work both as part of a team or as an individual.
• Appreciation and understanding of environment and health & safety responsibilities.
