At a Glance

The Regional Senior Security Manager (Middle East/Asia) will provide Global Security functional leadership to H&P business initiatives across H&P’s Middle East and Asia footprint involving security threat and risk identification, physical security operations, Duty of Care, CCTV, access control and other programs related to business continuity management and crisis emergency response. This position will work closely with local H&P personnel involved in day-to-day operations as it relates to the security of personnel and assets in the region.

Location: UAE / Bahrain

This position is expected to be filled in the Middle East/Asia region.

What You Will Do

  • Provides Global Security functional leadership in the Middle East/Asia region.
  • Serve as the regional focal point with local, and host government security agencies on matters related to the security of H&P assets and people.
  • Represents H&P in regional and industry led security efforts, maintaining close communication with the security community and industry peers.
  • Provides regional leadership for H&P’s Duty of Care program, aimed at ensuring safe and secure travel, transport and accommodation for H&P personnel
  • Serves as a physical security subject matter expert and provides project leadership and support to meet regional H&P requirements.
  • Provides physical security recommendations to meet and maintain compliance with H&P Global Security policies and standards.
  • Coordinates and executes physical security assessments (threat and risk assessments)
  • Prepares and delivers technical and program reports and presentations.
  • Provides support to H&P facilities regarding response to emergency and contingency situations.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, International Affairs/Relations/Business, Emergency Management, Master’s Degree in Security Management or related field is preferred.
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) preferred.
  • 10-15 years’ experience in corporate security management or government security agency with critical infrastructure focus, including personnel and site protection, system design and risk mitigation.
  • Must have knowledge and demonstrated experience in:
    • Security policies and procedures
    • Threat assessment and mitigation strategies
    • Duty of Care operations
    • Physical security principles and operations
    • Security systems
    • Experience managing and implementing technical projects preferred
    • Experience with video surveillance, detection and recording systems
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation). Able to interact with all levels within the business organization and regional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in managing complex people, process, and technical projects.
  • Able to assess challenges and identify/analyze incident root causes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive processes.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have experience gathering and analyzing data to create useful metrics that support positive change.
  • Able to seek and gain consensus on solutions.
  • Able to react quickly to changing environments or incidents on site and identify and analyze problems.
  • Strong problem solving skills. Individual must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanor and taking quick action to resolve issues.
  • Must be able to interpret the intent of available guidelines and use considerable judgment in applying them to individual situations.
  • Solid knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Able to work independently and support operations across a geographically diverse environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information.

  • English - required
  • Arabic - required
  • Hindi - preferred

Training

Continuing education to maintain certification.

Travel

This position requires significant international travel (30-50%), requiring a valid passport and the ability to qualify for entry to GCC and other MEA Countries, India, Australia, and the US.
