Role Overview:
The Midwife Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and newborns in line with DOH/DHA Midwifery Scope of Practice. The role involves health education, patient advocacy, breastfeeding promotion, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient-centered care.

The role involves health education, patient advocacy, breastfeeding promotion, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Identify complications and escalate cases to physicians as required.
- Deliver antenatal, labor, and postnatal care, ensuring continuity and safety.
- Promote breastfeeding and support “baby-friendly” initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical system.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
- Respond effectively to obstetric and neonatal emergencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Midwife in a maternity hospital or related setting.
