Registered Nurse II

Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Nurse Manager/ Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse II – Paediatrics IP is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of individualized nursing care to paediatric urgent care patients and their family members according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times in alignment with DOH/DHA and organization policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. Registered Nurse II - Pediatrics IP is also involved in understanding the management of the Nursing department, including but not limited to scheduling, employee evaluation, and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial nursing assessments and refer patients as per clinical guidelines.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans considering patient needs and cultural factors.
• Provide advanced care in specialized settings such as perioperative, acute, and intensive care.
• Administer medications and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and hospital policies.
• Efficiently use clinical equipment and manage medical supplies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure effective communication for continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on care strategies from admission to discharge, ensuring safety and preventive care.
• Address patient concerns and provide feedback to improve patient satisfaction.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in Pediatrics IP
