Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and technical staff
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems that arise during construction
- Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, change orders, and technical submittals
- Implement and maintain quality control and safety procedures on-site
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently
- Coordinate with local authorities and ensure compliance with UAE construction standards and regulations
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the project team
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction engineering/management, with 10+ years preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration highly desirable
- Valid driver's license
- Proven experience in managing engineering and technical staff
- Strong knowledge of construction management, inspection, and field support techniques
- Familiarity with local and federal funding requirements in the UAE
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery
- Proficiency in construction software and project management tools
- In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and construction standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Innovative mindset with a customer-focused approach to project delivery
- Experience with quality control and safety procedures in construction projects
