About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer (RE) with a strong background in structural engineering to lead the delivery of a landmark project for a reputable developer in the UAE.

This is a senior role requiring proven expertise in large-scale, complex building projects such as high-rise developments, mixed-use communities, and major commercial assets. The ideal candidate will bring at least 25 years of experience overseeing the design, supervision, and construction of significant building projects, with deep structural knowledge and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and high-profile stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Oversight

• Lead on-site supervision of large and complex building projects, ensuring structural integrity and world-class quality.
• Manage construction sequencing, structural works, and critical building elements across high-rise and mixed-use developments.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international building standards, and the developer’s requirements.
  
  
  

Structural & Technical Expertise

• Provide authoritative structural engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve structural methodologies, temporary works, and construction techniques.
• Conduct technical evaluations and resolve complex structural challenges on-site.
  
  
  

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary on-site representative for the developer, contractor, and consultants.
• Provide clear technical direction and progress reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Foster strong collaboration with architects, MEP engineers, and other specialists to ensure seamless project delivery.
  
  
  

Quality, Compliance & Safety

• Uphold the highest levels of quality assurance and structural safety.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and structural assessments.
• Ensure strict adherence to international codes, local regulations, and best practices.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 25 years’ experience in structural engineering with a focus on large, complex buildings projects.
• Strong track record delivering high-rise, mixed-use, and complex developments with reputable international or regional developers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with stakeholders on prestigious projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international building codes, local authority standards, and industry best practices.
• Professional accreditation such as PE, CEng, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
