Resource Allocator

Synopsis

The Resource Allocator is responsible for the efficient allocation of resources to ensure smooth and effective airport terminal operations. The role involves coordinating with various teams and departments to ensure optimal staffing, as well as responding to real-time operational demands and contingencies.

Accountabilities

Resource Allocation & Management

• Verify the resource allocated during pre-planning stage based on daily flight schedules, peak traffic times, and operational needs.
• Monitor real-time operational changes (e.g., flight delays, cancellations, sickness, absence) and adjust resource allocation accordingly to maintain operational efficiency.
• Guarantee that all resource allocation is fully aligned with and adheres to the established safety and security regulations, ensuring the highest standards of compliance.
• Ensure that all additional resource utilizations are thoroughly documented and meticulously accounted for, maintaining complete transparency and accuracy.
• Utilize resource allocation software and systems to manage and track allocations in real time.
  
  

Coordination with Stakeholders

• Collaborate with the Terminal Operations team to ensure proper alignment of resources.
• Act as the primary point of contact for any immediate resource related concerns during operations.
• Facilitate AD-HOC requests with minimal impact to operations.
  
  

Performance Monitoring

• Track the utilization of allocated resources and ensure maximum efficiency.
• Prepare reports on resource allocation performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
• Provide input on process improvements based on operational challenges encountered.
  
  

Crisis & Incident Management

• Respond to operational disruptions, reallocating resources as necessary to minimize impact on airport operations.
• Assist in coordinating emergency response efforts within the terminal, ensuring sufficient resources are available for crisis management.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in airline ground handling with at least 3 years in a resource planning role.
• Proven experience of implementing and managing best practice planning methodology in a complex & dynamic service industry.
• Proven experience of managing change to improve efficiency & reducing cost while maintaining service delivery.
• Ability to understand, analyze and present data in a manner that it can be understood by all stakeholders
