Risk Analyst

Abu Dhabi

The Risk Analyst provides direct support to the Sr Risk Officer in capturing, monitoring, and reporting on operational risks within Client - Capital Projects Directorate (CPD).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Attending risk workshops and capturing risks (threats & opportunities)

  • Maintaining risk registers, managing risk data, and preparing reports

  • Supporting project managers and other managers with collecting and analysing risks and using the information to improve operational performance

  • Assisting the Sr Risk Officer with identifying risk trends and assigning to the most appropriate person to manage

  • Working collaboratively with other project control analysts to prepare quality management information

  • Working with all CPD employees to promote continuous improvement in early risk management process

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited university, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project controls (cost and schedule) on large projects.

  • Providing effective project controls that directly supports project execution and management

  • Recruiting, training, coaching & developing Client CPD employees as required to provide sustainable competencies in project controls, governance and execution

  • Improving Scheduling & Estimating skills, particularly accuracy of CapEx forecasting

  • Improving Risk Management & Stakeholders Management practices

  • Supporting timely decision-making process and governance from projects to board room

  • Improving quality and efficiency of Performance Measurement, Reporting and Analysis

  • Reducing number of Consultant variations through standardized processes & templates

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Requires proficiency in the application of Risk Analyst services, standards and procedures including monitoring, assessing and reporting project risks to Client.

  • Presentation and management skills.

  • Working under pressure, multitasks and support multi projects

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Good data management skills

  • Competent using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
