The Role

We are excited to be recruiting for a Sales and Operations Co-ordinator to join the Fendercare ME team. The successful candidate will be an essential member of the STS operational team, securing and delivering safe and efficient STS operations and projects.


This role will be site-based in Sharjah. The full address for our office is below:


Fendercare Middle East, Plot246/16,Emirates Industrial City, Sajaa, Sharjah


Role Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the operational safety and quality of the STS operations.
  • Support the customer focus drive, to ensure maximum market share.
  • Ensure maximisation of revenue and gross margin on STS operations.
  • Ensure the accurate coordination of all aspects of the STS operations in line with company processes.
  • Log all enquires and follow up in a timely manner, ensuring where required an STS quote is raised, issued and followed up in consultation with the Sales team and aligned to the latest Group Policies (i.e. Sanctions / Credit Control etc).
  • Ensure all operational spend is suitably raised and controlled in line with the company limits of authority including ensuring Purchase Orders are raised on Netsuite in a timely and efficient manner once the new system is live. In the meantime, monitoring supplier invoices to ensure accuracy, gaining approval and are processed for payment within the payment terms.
  • Management of all aspects of logistics related to the STS operations.
  • Provide out of hours cover on a rotational basis 24hrs a day, 365 day a year.
  • Regular reporting to the Operations Manager, as appropriate.
  • Provide support to chase outstanding debt.
  • Support managing the base contractors including support crafts related to the STS operations.
  • Support in relation to all documentation involved with STS operations.


Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

  • Be personally energetic, dynamic, positive and enthusiastic and possess the ability to think laterally and act proactively through reasoned decision making.
  • Operational and logistical focus.
  • Ability to adapt to change in the business.
  • Good job costing, quoting and invoicing performance.
  • Focus and understanding of the importance of STS procedures.
  • Ability to handle high pressure, intense situations and handle them calmly.
  • Good knowledge of the offshore oil and gas market.
  • Good reporting skills.
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of Marine Assurance related to STS operations.
  • Team building qualities and good interpersonal skills.
  • Business acumen, with strong ability to think ‘outside the box’.
