We are looking for a professional SCM Program Manager (Grade 6).

About the Role:

We are looking for an SCM Program Manager. This role would sit within the Program IPT, Engineering Development Teams and engage with key stakeholders across various Programs and Engineering departments to gather requirements, manage expectations and communicate project progress aligned with the SCM strategy. This role is a critical link between Stakeholders in the Program Teams and SCM (Commodity and Supply Chain teams) to ensure the goals are met, risks are managed and effective processes with required resources are utilised .

Responsibilities: -

  • Manage, monitor and report on overall QCSRD targets on requirements aligned with SCM strategies to ensure effective operations between various members of the Engineering Development Stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor planning and demand set activities from Programs to ensure effective methods on all requirements in compliance with commitments and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate Engineering needs by leading and attending project meetings and ensure SCM involvement to escalate critical schedule delays and promote cooperation with the Program Engineering Development teams. Monitor statuses and report to Programs and SCM teams.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders to leverage in line with the sourcing strategy to identify opportunities of cost reduction and service efficiency to meet programme commitments and requirements.
  • Oversee and monitor the complete SCM process in terms of Project status to ensure an optimum flow of information and reporting.
  • Monitor and measure effectivity of Project information and SCM processes to identify opportunities for improving efficiency in line with changing Project needs and SCM according to market conditions.
  • This is an internal facing role and will require the SCM Program Manager to present to the various teams daily or weekly. Act as the change agent for SCM and working collaboratively with the Commodity and Supply Chain teams to identify constraints early to enable continuity of supply into the Engineering teams.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate against risk and constraints within the Program Engineering Development and Supply Chains Teams.
  • Drive collaboration and optimisation to reduce lead times within the Supply Chains and coordinate with the Warehouse & Logistics teams to ensure the materials, samples, hardware, etc arrive in a timely manner to the Program / Engineering development Teams.
  • Work with the Program Engineering Teams on a ‘Development Approved Vendor List’ to support the on-going activities.
  • Be expected to also deal with Ad-hoc project demands from other Entities within the EDGE Group .

Experience / Knowledge / Qualification : -

  • Master’s Degree (Preferred): A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. CIPS, CPSM).
  • Minimum: 10+ years of experience in Project Management (specifically with Supply Chain or Procurement focus), Material Planning and Procurement
  • Aero / Defence exposure and experience would be highly beneficial
  • Technical exposure and be confident dealing with Engineers
  • A good understanding of Export Control (including EAR) and INCOTERMS associated with moving material within the Aero / Defence Industry
  • Strong leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and project procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and deliver measurable results.
  • A robust understanding and comprehension of Contract & Law
  • Good demonstration of influencing skills at all levels
  • Robust analytical and numerical skills
  • Good presentation skills and be able to confidently present to Senior Management
  • Experience with Conflict resolution and solution generation
  • Experience with working in Start Up companies
  • Experience with SAP & SAP Ariba
  • Awareness of Logistics & Warehouse processes
  • Excellent time and organizational management
  • An excellent and confident Communicator
