Overview:

An established and continuously growing Operations & Maintenance company, part of a global leading company, seeks an Operations Supervisor & Trade Manager for its facility in Warsan - Dubai. The primary responsibilities: manage and develop operational activities, improvement of operational excellence, manage business contacts and service industrial stakeholders through activities such as negotiations, sales, transportation of goods and record keeping. In addition to these tasks account maintenance (customer visits, pricing, service arrangements, problem resolution, and contract renewals) is crucial to gain understanding on operations and performance.

The ideal candidate should possess operational experience (recycling is an advantage), strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills. Along with sales or purchasing experience, computer proficiency, and preferred is a background in the metals recycling industry. Advanced education is a bonus.

What You'll Do:

• Supervise day-2-day metal recovery operations
• Manage and provide team instructions to optimize operational performance
• Act as local contact to off-takers for scrap metal materials in accordance with current market conditions based on pricing standards/models established by company policy
• Supports internal and external customer service relating to ferrous or non-ferrous business
• Visits off-takers on a regular basis and maintain systemic data to record account history
• Maintains accurate records of all trading, shipping and prospecting activities including closed sales and follow-up activities
• Responsible for administration (trading and transport)
• Investigate and develop potential new off-takers for scrap metals
  
  
  

What You'll Need:

• Operational experience and excellence
• Commercial and organizational skills required
• Sense of teamwork as well as independent initiative required
• Proficient in MS Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Your Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required
