As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations of the hotel, ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. You will lead and train a team of security personnel, coordinate with other departments, and implement security protocols to prevent and respond to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure security officers are briefed prior to deployment daily
  • Ensure all outstanding incidents and investigations from previous shifts are followed up on
  • Regularly visit duty posts and ensure all deployments are up to standard
  • Regularly check logbooks and other registers to ensure consistency and correct bookkeeping is maintained
  • Escalate incidents to the Security Manager that require further action in a timely manner
  • Check function areas prior to, during and after functions
  • Report and follow up on all incidents
  • Manage evacuation duties
  • Respond to emergency incidents as and when notified and report back details to senior management
  • Exercise Emergency Response Team duties and responsibilities as defined in the emergency plan
  • Have comprehensive working knowledge on the cause and effect of the fire alarm system, locations of fire exit routes and firefighting equipment
  • Conduct training for Security Officers as directed
  • Ensure the assistant manager is fully briefed and appraised of any incidents that occur or that are ongoing
  • Visit all sites which are under construction/renovation and ensure that all contractors are carrying contractor passes in a visible position and using/wearing appropriate PPE
  • Liaise with other departments regarding security policies and procedures
  • Maintain relationships with other departments to maintain synergy

Qualifications And Requirements

  • SIRA approved Security Supervisors’ course
  • SIRA Security Supervisors’ license
  • High school certificate or equivalent
  • Qualified on job trainer
  • Minimum 1-year experience in hospitality security
  • Knowledge of firefighting equipment
  • Knowledge of CCTV operation
  • Knowledge of investigations
  • Knowledge of crisis management
  • First aid and CPR trained
  • Knowledge of handling emergency situations and evacuations
