Position: Accountant – Supermarket Experience Required

We are seeking a Finance Officer/Accountant with 2 to 5 years of experience in the supermarket or hypermarket industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling financial transactions, reconciling POS data, and supporting overall financial operations. Immediate availability is a must for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle daily financial transactions, including posting and recording of expenses, revenues, and inventory management.
• Reconcile daily sales data from the POS system with cash, credit card, and other payments, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor cash flow and oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring proper reconciliation at the end of each day.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, including sales performance and monthly financial statements.
• Support month-end closing activities, ensuring all POS data is accurately captured in financial systems.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely payments and proper recording of financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and standards.
• Assist in payroll management and ensure timely salary disbursement.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in an accounting role within a supermarket or hypermarket in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation and handling data from POS systems.
• Experience in managing day-to-day transactions, cash flow, and financial reporting.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is preferred.
• Immediate availability is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
