Job Brief:
We are seeking a meticulous and results-driven Senior Accountant to join the finance department. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounting, financial auditing, and corporate tax compliance. This role requires excellent analytical abilities and a sound understanding of accounting standards, taxation (including VAT and Corporate Tax), and internal controls. The Senior Accountant will oversee daily financial operations and ensure full compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly payroll reviews and ensure timely and accurate salary disbursements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) in compliance with regulations.
- Prepare, file, and ensure compliance with Corporate Tax requirements.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Lead the preparation of audit documentation and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Prepare and review Payment Certificates (PCs) for subcontractors.
- Supervise the preparation of Petty Cash Fund (PCF) reports.
- Review and approve invoices, payments, and receipts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within ERPNext.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes effectively.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Process employee expense reimbursements in line with company policies.
- Support budget preparation, monitoring, and financial forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
- Provide strategic financial insights, analysis, and reports to management to support decision-making.
- Mentor, guide, and support junior finance staff to ensure team effectiveness and development.
Job Requirements:
- Mandatory experience in the building construction industry.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Corporate Tax computation, filing, and compliance.
- Experience in project-wise salary and cost preparation.
- Minimum 3–4 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in financial auditing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or professional qualifications, such as CPA / CA, are an advantage.
- Professional accounting, auditing, or corporate tax certifications are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, principles, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with ERPNext (mandatory).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.
