Position Overview
As we expand our strategic footprint across Middle East & Africa (MEA); we are building a regional hub in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) to deepen relationships and deliver tailored investment solutions to regional institutional investors. This role will be among the first hires in our new Abu Dhabi office and play a pivotal role in driving business development, client engagement and strategic growth across the MEA region.
As part of the MEA coverage team, you will work closely with the Head of MEA Coverage to execute on the regional strategy, originate new business and manage relationship with key institutional investors. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role offering the opportunity to be part of a foundational team shaping DWS’s presence in the MEA region.
While the role is structured to have an Alternatives focus there will also be the need to support coverage across the full spectrum of MEA business including all asset classes. The role will mean that you will work in close collaboration with the asset-class focused Alternatives Coverage teams as well as the broader DWS Alternatives platform.
DWS Alternatives business is a diversified set of business activities with approximately EUR 150bn in assets under management in strategies including Private Real Estate, Private Infrastructure, Private Credit and Liquid Real Assets (Real Estate/Infrastructure and Commodity Securities). The global team invests on behalf of a global client base that includes governments, corporations, institutional investors, as well as a growing UNHW investor group.

Role Details
As a Senior Sales Manager you will be responsible for:
- Act as a senior client-facing representative for DWS across the MEA region, with a base in Abu Dhabi.
- Support the execution of the MEA growth strategy by originating and converting opportunities across asset classes.
- Develop and maintain long term institutional client relationships, with a strong focus on Alternatives while also representing the full DWS offering across public and private markets.
- Collaborate closely with the asset class focused Alternatives Coverage teams and broader DWS Alternatives platform to identify and deliver private market solutions aligned with client objectives and regional strategic priorities.
- Leading direct client outreach in MEA markets to Alternatives stakeholders and allocators, with a focus on establishing client relationships and creating investment opportunities.
- Monitor and assess competitive landscape and regulatory development in the MEA region.
- Lead business development for Alternatives strategies in MEA in line with agreed Alternatives sales plans
- Developing strong productive relationships with internal distribution partners.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for the preparation and delivery of client presentations, pitches, RFP and tailored investment proposals
- Working closely with teams such as Alternatives Coverage, Research and Investment Managers to convert sales opportunities into AUM flows.
- Coordinate Investor Relations activities, including LP Advisory Committee meetings and LP engagement, including Fund AGMs and annual Investor Conferences.
- Remaining abreast of industry trends and themes and attending industry conferences/events on behalf of DWS.
- Play a key role in establishing a high-performance, client centric culture within the Abu Dhabi office.
- Proven track record across an environment such as Investor Relations, Client Relationship, or investment management with demonstrated expertise in Alternative investments (i.e. Private Real Assets, Private Equity & Private Debt).
- Ability to lead on relationships with strategic MEA investors base.
- Demonstrable experience of leading the production of specialist investment content for RFP and DDQ activity to support capital formation strategies.
- Strong networking skills and proactive approach to working with colleagues across the business, but equally adept at working autonomously.
- Highly structured approach with project management skills and strong analytical skills using Excel.
- Ability to connect and build strong relationships with others, highly developed verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant financial field or with relevant industry experience.
