Senior Analyst / Associate

What you will do:

THIS ROLE IS PRIORITIZED FOR UAE NATIONALS

To support the investment and asset management function for a specific portfolio of assets, through the execution of core financial analysis, modelling, creating compelling presentations, and research activities that achieve defined objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough due diligence and research to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making in deal execution.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentation materials based on collected data and insights, as guided by Associates or Vice Presidents, to assist in transaction processes.
• Lead internal documentation for deals, including Investment Committee (IC) memos, board resolutions, and procurement-related documentation.
• Develop comprehensive research reports covering sector trends, economic dynamics, competitive landscapes, and their impact on portfolios and assets.
• Perform financial analysis and develop basic financial models to support both deal execution and ongoing asset management activities.
• Conduct initial investment screening assessments to evaluate potential opportunities.
• Collaborate regularly with internal teams to deliver updates on portfolio performance and summarize key research findings.
• Support asset management across the investment lifecycle by maintaining performance dashboards, conducting valuations, analyzing financial performance, and generating relevant management reports.
• Assist in day-to-day asset management operations under the supervision of the line manager.
• Clearly communicate complex industry developments and insights to senior management.
• Perform other duties or special assignments as required.
  
  

What will you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• CFA Level I certification is required.
• A Master's degree from a top-tier, internationally recognized institution is a strong advantage.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in progressively advanced roles within a leading investment bank, management consultancy, or private equity firm.
• Proven experience in financial modeling, investment analysis, and/or asset management.
  
  

Knowledge & Skills:

• Solid understanding of core investment and asset management principles.
• General knowledge of Mubadala Investment Company’s sectors and operational landscape.
• Awareness of global market dynamics and macroeconomic trends.
• Strong grasp of financial and accounting fundamentals, with the ability to interpret and critically analyze financial data.
• Proficiency in building and using basic financial models and Excel-based tools.
• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders for information gathering and data validation.
• Competence in interpreting financial statements, cash flow analyses, and company P&L reports.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or a strong willingness to learn and improve.
• Demonstrates a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and professional maturity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of data quickly.
• Clear and structured verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to draft accurate, concise, and insightful reports and documentation.
• Enthusiasm and motivation to support investment and asset management activities.
• Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong research abilities and a keen eye for identifying relevant insights from diverse sources (e.g., databases, publications, and stakeholders).
• Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working both independently and within a team.
