Senior BIM Draughtsman (Plumbing)

To lead the preparation, coordination, and development of accurate plumbing and drainage BIM models and detailed shop drawings in accordance with project specifications, authority requirements, and company BIM standards. The Senior BIM Draughtsman ensures the smooth integration of plumbing systems with other MEP and structural disciplines throughout all project stages.

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed 3D plumbing and drainage BIM models using Revit MEP and other BIM tools.

• Produce coordinated shop drawings, sections, and details based on BIM models and project specifications.

• Coordinate plumbing layouts with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural models to identify and resolve clashes.

• Ensure all drawings and models comply with UAE authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, DM, or other local municipalities).

• Lead and guide junior draughtsmen in preparing accurate models and drawings as per company BIM standards.

• Assist the BIM Engineer in clash detection, model updates, and design coordination activities.

• Prepare and update as-built drawings and documentation in line with project close-out requirements.

• Maintain proper version control and documentation of all drawings, models, and deliverables.

• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support during design and construction phases.

• Ensure timely delivery of all BIM and drawing outputs according to project schedules.

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or AutoCAD/BIM Design.

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in plumbing and drainage drafting, including at least 3–5 years in BIM (Revit MEP) within the UAE or GCC.

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

• In-depth knowledge of UAE plumbing codes, standards, and local authority requirements.

• Proven experience in coordinating plumbing works within large-scale building or infrastructure projects.

• Good understanding of MEP coordination, detailing, and construction drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
