Senior Contract Manager

Role Purpose:
The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks, and optimizing commercial outcomes. This role involves managing complex agreements, negotiating terms, and providing strategic guidance to stakeholders to protect the organization’s interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management & Administration
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal standards, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all contractual documents and amendments.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring alignment with corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
- Monitor contract performance and enforce contractual obligations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with legal, finance, procurement, and business units to align contract terms with organizational objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on contractual matters and risk exposure.
- Negotiation & Strategy
- Lead negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop strategies for contract optimization and cost savings.
- Dispute Resolution
- Manage and resolve contractual disputes, claims, and variations in a timely and effective manner.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Provide regular reports on contract status, risks, and compliance metrics to senior management.
- Analyze trends and recommend improvements to contract management processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in contract management, preferably in [industry].
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in negotiating high-value and complex contracts.
