Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Senior Document Controller to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of document control for our organizations projects and operations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain document control systems and procedures
  • Manage the receipt, distribution, and filing of all project documentation
  • Ensure all documents are properly indexed, stored, and easily retrievable
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission and approval of documents
  • Perform regular quality checks to maintain the integrity and accuracy of document databases
  • Generate reports on document status, revisions, and distribution
  • Train and mentor junior document control staff
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding document-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Continuously improve document control processes for enhanced efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control, preferably in a similar industry
  • Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of database management, filing, and archiving systems
  • Experience with large-scale projects and multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Professional certification in document control or records management (preferred)
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
  • Familiarity with construction, engineering, or oil and gas industry documentation (preferred)
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
