Job Description
Parsons is seeking a Senior EMC Engineer to join our dynamic team of rail and transit specialists in Dubai. We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in delivering Metro/Rail projects, particularly in the areas of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), stray current management, earthing and bonding, and noise and vibration control.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring effective implementation of all EMC-related aspects throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with clients, multidisciplinary project teams, and key stakeholders to deliver technically sound and compliant engineering solutions.

Job Description
Parsons is seeking a Senior EMC Engineer to join our dynamic team of rail and transit specialists in Dubai. We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in delivering Metro/Rail projects, particularly in the areas of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), stray current management, earthing and bonding, and noise and vibration control.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring effective implementation of all EMC-related aspects throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with clients, multidisciplinary project teams, and key stakeholders to deliver technically sound and compliant engineering solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on EMC, stray current, earthing & bonding, and noise & vibration issues for rail projects.
- Develop and implement strategies and solutions to address these technical areas, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conduct technical reviews and assessments to identify potential risks and mitigation measures.
- Lead the design review and analysis of systems and components related to EMC, stray current, earthing & bonding, and noise & vibration.
- Review technical specifications, design drawings, and documentation for these systems.
- Have a good understanding of advanced modeling and simulation tools that predict and analyze system performance.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of EMC, stray current, earthing & bonding, and noise & vibration solutions with other rail infrastructure.
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of systems related to EMC, stray current, earthing & bonding, and noise & vibration.
- Develop and implement test plans and procedures to verify system performance and compliance.
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements or corrective actions.
- Identify and implement improvements to engineering processes and practices.
- Generate regular reports on the status of these technical areas for clients and project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure the quality and accuracy of engineering work.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in EMC, stray current, earthing & bonding, and noise & vibration engineering within the rail or transportation industry.
- Proficiency in engineering design and analysis tools and software.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to EMC, stray current, earthing & bonding, and noise & vibration.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- GCC experience is preferred.
- Experience on large Rail Infrastructure program is a must.
- Must have experience in Client Interfacing roles or a Consultancy role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with systems engineering principles and practices.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal + external correspondence; Ability to effectively present information to key stakeholders as required by the client.
- Understanding of the delivery process and the functions inherent to construction management of large-scale projects.
- Understanding of budget development and cost accounting.
- Ability to interface with all levels with project team, client, and others.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of support function problems.
- Ability to function in a multi-organizational environment by developing relationships that complies with the client’s proactive, collaborative culture.
