WSP are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Bridges & Tunnels to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of bridge and tunnel projects, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure projects in the region while working with a leading engineering consultancy.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Lead and contribute to the design and analysis of bridges, tunnels, and related infrastructure
• Prepare and review design calculations, technical drawings, and specifications in compliance with international standards and local regulations.
• Conduct structural analysis, feasibility studies, and design optimization for complex bridge and tunnel structures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical, transport, and construction engineers, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, tender documents, and design proposals for clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations throughout project execution.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, and contractors to address project requirements and design modifications
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in the design of bridges, tunnels, and related structures within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards such as AASHTO, Eurocodes, BS, and UAE regulations.
• Proficiency in structural design software such as MIDAS, LUSAS, STAAD.Pro, CSI Bridge, or similar tools.
• Experience with BIM and 3D modeling software (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients, project teams, and authorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative and cost-effective solutions.
