Senior Engineer - DevSecOps

Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Inception, you will be responsible for integrating security practices into the DevOps lifecycle to ensure our AI products are secure, reliable, and compliant. Your role is crucial in bridging the gap between development, security, and operations, fostering a culture of security-first mindset while maintaining high efficiency and automation. You will collaborate with various teams to implement security measures, automate processes, and ensure the seamless deployment of AI solutions.

The opportunity

Inception is the UAE’s national-scale enabler in AI Research and Development. Partnering with Microsoft's AI SaaS, we offer domain-specific Agentic AI Orchestrator platforms utilizing reasoning agents for precise and cost-effective services. Our focus includes AI incubation, IP creation, applied AI R&D, and AI investment products. By creating models tailored to specific domains and languages, we ensure superior accuracy and efficiency. Collaborating with top universities and industry giants to drive significant advancements in AI technology within the region.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring that security is a core component of the development, deployment, and operational processes.
• Design and implement secure & scalable AI model deployment using MLOps best practices
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that incorporate automated security testing and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities and risks.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure consistent and secure infrastructure deployment.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline security processes and enhance efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, security events, and logs to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to ensure the integrity and security of AI solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, incorporating them into the DevSecOps processes.
• Provide guidance and training to development and operations teams on security best practices and tools.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, implementing necessary controls and documentation.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and security-first mindset within the engineering and operations teams.
• Ensure the alignment of DevSecOps goals with the company's strategic objectives, driving the secure and efficient delivery of AI products.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Tech Stack

• Programming and Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby for automation and scripting.
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Strong knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform or Bicep
• Configuration Management: Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). However very recent experience of Microsoft Azure is preferred
• Microsoft Azure: Good understanding of Azure infrastructure like, AKS, App Service, Storage account, Managed DBs, Virtual Networks, Virtual Network Gateways, Policies etc.
• Security Tools: Experience with security tools and practices including vulnerability scanners (e.g., SonarQube, Nessus, Qualys), SIEM systems, and compliance frameworks.
• Monitoring and Logging: Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control and collaboration.
• Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security measures.
  
  

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Minimum experience of 8 years in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in DevSecOps, cybersecurity, or a related field.
