Overview

Senior Engineer - Infrastructure Implementation leads architecture, deployment, and optimization of hybrid Azure/on-premises environments, drives projects, ensures disaster recovery, manages incidents, automates operations, and fosters continuous improvement and inclusive teamwork.

The opportunity

Inception is the UAE’s national-scale enabler in AI Research and Development. Partnering with Microsoft's AI SaaS, we offer domain-specific Agentic AI Orchestrator platforms utilizing reasoning agents for precise and cost-effective services. Our focus includes AI incubation, IP creation, applied AI R&D, and AI investment products. By creating models tailored to specific domains and languages, we ensure superior accuracy and efficiency. Collaborating with top universities and industry giants to drive significant advancements in AI technology within the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of on-premises and Azure cloud environments, utilizing Azure services and IT Service Management tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc).
• Drive one or more infrastructure engineering projects or workstreams, applying technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to ensure successful delivery and modernization.
• Work with diverse teams to architect, implement, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure changes, resolve issues, and support system modernization.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies for critical applications and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex, high-priority incidents, considering upstream/downstream data and system impacts, and advise on mitigation actions while ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to remediate issues, identify trends, and drive product improvements.
• Demonstrate a high aptitude for learning and teaching as new technologies and features are introduced, fostering a culture of continuous growth.
• Contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
• Experience is leading a team and managing their deliverables and KPI
• Proficient in Azure cloud infrastructure, security controls, and networking, with a focus on designing and securing enterprise environments.
• Skilled in DevOps practices and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift) for scalable application deployment.
• Experienced in high-performance computing (HPC) environments, including GPU clusters (NVIDIA/AMD) and SLURM workload management.
• Deep expertise in identity and access management (Entra ID) and data encryption protocols to ensure compliance and data protection.
• Skilled in managing RFPs and architecting enterprise-level solutions.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR standards and compliance requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Certification in Azure Architect, with advanced hands-on experience.
• Deep knowledge in infrastructure domains such as networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance.
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and IaaC.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, private cloud), with experience operating and migrating across public and private clouds.
• Experience in business continuity planning, risk assessment, and disaster recovery for critical infrastructure.
• Proficiency in IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Sentinel for incident, change, and problem management.
• Drive to expand technical and cross-functional knowledge, staying current with industry trends and best practices.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience in handling AI infrastructure and clusters
