Senior Engineer - Network & Security

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to implement, maintain, and support a network and security infrastructure for du Enterprise customers. The job holder will be part of a 24x7 team responsible for implementing and maintaining a Cloud platform and ensures services are provided according to the agreed contract, SLA, and quality.

This position includes working with Enterprise customers in optimizing, and monitoring requirements to gain operational efficiencies in order to drive the organization to a highly customer satisfaction.

The job holder needs to be a Subject Matter Expert in Network and Security technologies such as Fortigate, PaloAlto, Netscaler, F5, etc.

Accountabilities

• Maintain 24x7x365 availability, communicating daily operations and SLAs to customers.
• Achieve 90% resolution rate within 24 hours, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer communications (calls/chats/emails), execute daily tasks within SLAs, and test solutions effectively.
• Monitor and manage alerts, prioritize incidents, and understand system attacks and scope.
• Configure monitoring tools and manage WAF configurations on Citrix and F5; perform advanced WAF configurations, whitelisting, and IPSEC migrations from ASA to Fortigate and PaloAlto to Fortigate.
• Oversee network infrastructure, including LAN, SDWAN, WAN, firewall policies, routing protocols, VRF, MPLS, QOS, and security schema.
• Onboard customers with configurations in ACI, VMWARE, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• CCNP/NSE/F5 certified and other relevant Network and Security Vendor Certifications
• Minimum 9 years of experience in telecom environment or IT Infrastructure
• Experience in telecom technologies (Voice & Data, Advanced Connectivity, Security Services, Data Centre & Cloud, Mobility & Applications)
• Must have hands-on experience in
• Firewalls: Fortinet, Forti Analyzer, PaloAlto, FTD, ASA
• Load Balancers: Citrix Netscalar, F5, KEMP, VMWare AVI solution
• Switches: Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI
• Routers: CISCO ASR/ISR, Huawei ASR, Alcatel Aggregators
• Virtualization: NSXT, NSXV, SDWAN
• Design of network VLANs, Nexus switches, Cisco core, Network Access Control (NAC), VOIP, SNMP, WLAN, Cisco ISE, QoS, IP Video, ACLs, VRF, DHCP, subnets.
• Language proficiency in the following languages - English/Arabic
• Plan and perform on-job training whenever required
