Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our team in Abu Dhabi as a Senior Estimation Engineer – Fire Fighting System. This key position is responsible for leading the estimation and tendering process for fire protection and fire fighting system projects. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and excellent analytical skills, ensuring accurate and competitive project proposals that support business growth and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities – Fire Fighting System Estimation & Tendering

• Lead and prepare detailed estimation for fire fighting system projects, including fire detection, suppression, and sprinkler systems.
• Interpret project specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities (BOQ) to determine scope and identify materials, manpower, and equipment requirements.
• Conduct site visits, attend pre-tender meetings, and liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to gather all relevant data for preparing accurate tenders.
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure system compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.
• Prepare technical and proposals that meet project specifications, and company guidelines.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiate best terms, and ensure cost competitiveness.
• Participate in value engineering processes to optimise solutions and reduce project costs without compromising quality or safety.
• Support the project teams with estimation data, clarifications, and handover documentation throughout the tender and execution stages.
  
  

Required Skills – Estimation, Technical Expertise & Communication

• Expert knowledge of fire fighting systems, fire protection codes, and industry standards (NFPA, UAE Fire Code, etc.).
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and risk assessments.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software relevant to fire fighting systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders, prioritise competing deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience – Fire Protection Estimation

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech/ B.E), Fire Protection Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in fire protection system estimation, designing, or tendering in UAE.
• Strong technical knowledge of fire fighting systems, including fire detection, suppression, and sprinkler systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with estimation software is an advantage.
• Proven track record in preparing accurate cost estimates, technical proposals, and value engineering solutions for fire fighting projects.
• Knowledge of local and international fire protection regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, UAE Fire Code).
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
