Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Facade Engineer to lead the façade engineering, analysis, and delivery of complex façade systems for high-profile building projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of façade materials, structural behaviour, thermal performance, and building codes, and will be comfortable coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and liaising with architects and contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of the design, engineering, and documentation processes, offering specialized expertise, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the quality of products and services for projects managed by the team.
• Conduct structural calculations for façade systems, perform thermal compliance assessments, and establish engineering design parameters for façade systems, in compliance with relevant codes and standards, utilizing engineering expertise and software tools.
• Work closely with Zutari’s clients to provide expert façade engineering input during the design and tender phases, helping to resolve technical challenges and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Coordinate with both internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including Architecture, Structural, MEP, Acoustics, Fire & Life Safety, Façade Access, and Project Management.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Rhino, and Revit to clearly communicate design intent and produce comprehensive façade documentation.
• Deliver detailed engineering analyses, including structural calculations and performance assessments, supported by clear and concise reporting.
• Prepare technical reports across all design and construction phases to support project development and decision-making.
• Engage with manufacturers and system suppliers to understand product performance, limitations, and integration options.
• Advise clients on constructability and practical aspects of façade installation and sequencing.
• Collaborate with Main Contractors and specialist subcontractors to support the execution of façade works.
• Review contractor technical submittals and provide clear feedback to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to verify alignment with approved designs and specifications, followed by written reports summarizing observations and recommendations.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensure adherence to established deadlines.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
• 7-10 years of professional experience, with a focus on structures and façade engineering.
• Time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and plans. Keen attention to details.
• Experience in STAAD.PRO, SJ Mepla, MathCad, Anchor Softwares, STRAUS7, THERM, AutoCad, BIM/Revit.
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. Commitment to the team, maintains positive working relationships with diverse people, including internal team and external partners.
