Senior Faculty

The Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) is entering an exciting phase of growth. To support our four newly established Research Centres for Excellence (Early Childhood Education, School Improvement, Educational Leadership and Inclusion) and the new programs we aim to offer in 2026, we are looking to grow our academic team.

We are seeking accomplished and passionate teacher education academics with strong track records in research and teaching.

These positions will suit experienced academics at Associate Professor and Professor levels who are interested in leading initiatives at the Academy that make an impact on teacher education and research in the region.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Research: Lead and mentor staff in developing and implementing a program of education-related research in alignment with the Academy’s Research Strategy and Plan and Centres of Excellence.
• Teaching and Learning: Lead the development and delivery of high-quality, evidence-based academic and HDR programs in alignment with the Academy’s course design and delivery framework, international good practice standards and accreditation standards.
• Community Engagement and Service: Contribute to the overall leadership of the institution through internal committees. Lead community engagement activities that promote the profession and the reputation of the Academy.
• Networks and partnerships: Develop and nurture local and international networks and partnerships that support the Academy’s growth and reputation.
• Leadership and Management: Oversee people, programs and projects ensuring timely, on-budget delivery and high client satisfaction levels. Promote a collaborative, supportive and high-performing work culture.
  
  

Requirements

• An earned doctorate (PhD/EdD) in education from a reputable internationally accredited university.
• Experience in teacher education and PreK-12 educational system including supervising student teachers.
• Experience in teaching and delivering programs in online/hybrid/hyflex modes.
• Demonstrated successful leadership and management experience.
• A strong research profile in a relevant education field.
• Preferred experience working in the UAE or Middle East region.
• Preferred fluency in both Arabic and English.
