Senior ITS BIM Specialist

Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ITS BIM Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will regularly interface with other departments and provide technical guidance to junior staff. The role may involve acting in an advisory capacity to senior management and production staff. Contribution to the development of training material is expected.

The Candidate will be required to design the ITS infrastructure (Dry Utility) in Civil 3D and conduct the required clash analysis and conflicts resolution with the other utilities.

The Candidate shall be also capable to supervise the BIM Modelers and BIM Analysts in the team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Utilize effective computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Common Data Environment usage and management for model production.
• Exhibit proficiency in utilizing software packages associated with the building information modeling specialism/discipline.
• Dry utilities design capability using the AutoCAD Civil 3D. Candidate with Wet utilities design background will be also considered but shall also have some experience in Dry utilities design.
• Apply advanced modeling principles and techniques to complex assignments.
• Draft special provisions with oversight.
• Apply engineering principles to modeling assignments.
• Review models for compliance with oversight.
• Communicate effectively with management, engineering, and production staff on modeling technical and non-technical subjects.
• Interface regularly with other departments on matters relating to work assignments.
• Very good Knowledge and practice of Part Builder module in Civil 3D.
• Very good Knowledge and practice of navigating and working with Navisworks software
• Very good Knowledge Dynamo tool
• Provide technical guidance and supervise junior modeling staff.
• Act in an advisory capacity to senior management and production staff on related work matters.
• Contribute to the development of training material.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Diploma in a relevant discipline. Bachelor’s degree will be an addition.
• 10+ years related work experience
• Certification may be required from drafting or building information modeling software providers such as Autodesk, Bentley Systems, etc.
• Proficient knowledge of engineering principles and ability to apply these principles to modeling assignments.
• Proficient in utilizing most modeling principles, techniques, and analyses to complete a wide variety of difficult complex assignments/plans.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of advanced modeling principles and application.
