Senior Lawyer

As the Senior Lawyer you are a key member of the legal team, responsible for providing high-level legal expertise and support across various functions. Your role will focus on managing complex legal matters, including high-stakes contracts, compliance, regulatory issues, and risk management. You will work closely with the General Counsel and other departments to offer legal guidance, oversee legal processes, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel to internal stakeholders, including executive management, on issues relating to compliance, risk mitigation, and regulatory matters.
• Support the General Counsel in developing and implementing the company’s legal strategy, aligning it with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, licensing, and service contracts.
• Develop and maintain contract templates and standardize processes to enhance efficiency and consistency in legal documentation.
• Oversee contract lifecycle management, ensuring timely renewals, amendments, and compliance with agreed terms.
• Identify potential legal risks across the organization, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in the development of compliance programs and internal policies to prevent or manage legal and regulatory risks.
• Conduct periodic legal audits and assessments to ensure regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters, liaising with external counsel and representing the company in legal proceedings when required.
• Lead dispute resolution efforts, including mediation and arbitration, to protect the company's interests while minimizing costs.
• Develop and implement processes for handling disputes, claims, and investigations efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Assist with corporate governance matters, including compliance with governance policies, corporate structure changes, and shareholder communications.
• Draft and maintain corporate documentation, such as resolutions, board minutes, and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Work closely with other departments, including finance, HR, and operations, to provide legal guidance on interdepartmental projects.
