We are working with a diversified industrial group headquartered in the UAE to find a Senior Legal Counsel to join the team based in Abu Dhabi.

The requirements of the role are:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex corporate, commercial, and administrative legal documents, including memorandums of association, agency agreements, MOUs, confidentiality agreements, tenancy contracts, authorizations, and board resolutions.
  • Provide guidance on legal implications of contracts, agreements, and corporate decisions to protect the company's interests.
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior management on corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters.
  • Review and advise on company policies, employment practices, and business operations to ensure legal compliance.
  • Identify legal risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and support decision-making at the organizational level.

Ensure full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.

  • Coordinate with PROs, government authorities, and external advisors on company incorporation, licensing, and regulatory matters.
  • Represent the company in interactions with regulatory authorities as required.
  • Oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes in coordination with external counsel.
  • Initiate legal proceedings, prepare filings, and manage all aspects of court or tribunal matters on behalf of the company.
  • Monitor ongoing cases and advise management on legal strategy and potential risks.
  • Support the General Counsel in policy development, corporate governance initiatives, and risk management strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law / and or Masters (LLB) or equivalent; advanced law qualifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in corporate, commercial, or business law.
  • Proven experience in managing complex legal matters and providing strategic legal advice.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
