Senior Maintenance Engineer - Abu Dhabi

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for all Security Systems operation, maintenance work execution, testing, and hand-over to Clients. Ensure that all required infra-structure needs are available/ready and this covers: Networking, CCTV, ACS, IDS and power requirements to ensure smooth operations of all systems on site.

KEY RESULTS AREAS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

/ Daily monitoring of fault logs & performing immediate fault identification

/ Liaison with various stakeholders (Client, IT, FM, AP, Site Resources, MVP) to ensure fault rectification

/ Fault root cause analysis & reporting

/ Fault trend analysis & reporting identification of recurring issues recommending remedial actions & ensuring that these are performed when doing PPMs or attending Call-Outs etc.

/ Completing records of all faults & PPMs and Call-Outs

/ Ensuring that all existing systems are properly connected to the relevant Control Room / Security Office

/ Maintaining all System SUPs ensuring that all firmware, security patches etc are applied. Ensuring that all configurations are uniformly applied across the portfolio so as to ensure that functionality of the system is optimized.

/ Maintaining end-user password & security protocols as agreed with client

/ Advise client of enhancements and additional functionality offered by new firmware upgrades

/ Perform end-user refresher training if requested/required by the client

/ Compile comprehensive monthly reports detailing time allocation for PPMs and Call-Outs for specified projects and clients, faults, root causes, trends, recurring incidents, recommendations, system enhancements & upgrades, recommendations, training, status of SUPs etc

/ Maintain and administer security systems networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.

/ Plan and coordinate network security measures as per Client IT standards and procedures in order to protect data, software, and hardware

/ Operate master consoles in order to monitor the performance of the entire systems and networks, and to coordinate system network access and use.

/ Perform routine system network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.

/ Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes, if any and where necessary and applicable.

/ Monitor systems performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.

/ Train client and technicians in security systems use.

/ Gather data pertaining to client needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.

/ Analyze equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement.

/ Site Management communicate with ME and Site Technicians based on site and/or client at time of implementing at site. As per design and shop drawing issued & verified by SME including the review of systems proposed.

/ Manages ME and senior technicians towards actual implementation at site and oversee, through the work of technicians and also advising an alternative plan if any changes found during work implementations (site customization).

/ SME will be fully responsible for creating the test reports based on PPMs and Call-Outs based on site amendment, corrections phase, inspection and final certification activities.

/ SME has to produce progress reports tracking on the current job and reports of additional and variation work and other similar reports relevant to site work execution, training the Senior Technicians on the new systems according to the manual instructions of the product, as well trouble shooting on panel breakdown, hardware and software and all other technical aspect

/ Oversees emergency breakdowns rectification and intervention based on expertise of the systems known to the SME.

EDUCATION

/ Bachelors of Electrical & Electronics or Electronics and telecommunication or a general IT degree with Physics Background.

/ Certification Cisco CCNA, CCNP, BCNE, CCTV (Milestone, Genetec, Axis etc.), ACS (LENEL, KERISYS, PAXTON, etc.), Biometrics, Barriers, Bollards, Road blocker, Spike bumps, ANPR, Video Analytics etc.

Work Experience

/ 4 years where he/ she is exposed to all security systems disciplines on total or turn-around projects.
