Senior Manager - Investments

Overview

As the Senior Manager – Investments you will be a strategic finance leader who will drive investments, mergers & acquisitions, and financial modelling at the highest level. You will be a part of the Inception Strategy team and report directly to the VP of Strategy. In this role you will be responsible for assessing economic potential and financial attractiveness of strategic initiatives, structuring, negotiating and executing investments, and/or M&A transactions, as well as developing and maintaining the strategic financial model of the company and interacting with incoming investors on the strategic financial plan topics. This role will require partnering with functional leads throughout the organisation to ensure that there is broad strategic alignment around the relevant initiatives, while the role holder will be responsible for delivering highest standard of quality of the analysis and outputs related to the tasks within the area of responsibility to supply senior leadership with reliable recommendations around key decisions.

This is a high-impact role ideal for someone with strong experience in investments and M&A, financial modelling and analysis and strategy, particularly in tech, SaaS, or AI-driven environments.

Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Valuation

• Develop and maintain complex financial models for scenario planning, valuation, and capital allocation.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
• Translate financial insights into actionable strategies for leadership
  
  

Market Research & Analysis

• Conduct in-depth research on industries, markets, and competitors with a focus on AI and emerging technologies.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
  
  

Strategic Investments & M&A

• Identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities, acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures aligned with company growth strategy.
• Lead due diligence processes, financial analysis, and valuation exercises.
• Negotiate deal structures, terms, and contracts in collaboration with legal and executive leadership
  
  

Capital Allocation & Fundraising

• Support fundraising activities, including equity and debt financing, investor relations, and strategic partnerships.
• Advise on optimal capital structure and return on investment for strategic initiatives.
  
  

Stakeholder Management

• Build relationships with leaders and functional leads to promote cross-functional collaboration.
• Engage with external stakeholders (e.g., consultants, industry experts) to bring in new insights, analytics and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 10+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or M&A advisory.
• Strong track record of leading end-to-end M&A transactions and strategic investments.
• Exceptional financial modelling, valuation, and deal execution skills.
• Deep understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and strategic growth.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in technology or AI/ML-driven industries strongly preferred.
• MBA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is a plus.
