Position Summary

  • The Senior Manager Investor Relations is responsible for credible and transparent disclosure and dialogue with analysts and investors; ongoing engagement with the investment community; enhance understanding of VEON’s business and investment achievements.
  • This role is a senior strategic contributor of the overall communications effort and together with the team, is responsible for building a world-class investor relations program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Group Director Investor Relations in executing the quarterly earnings process, performing analysis on results, drafting key investment messages, earnings release, presentation and other preparation materials. Partner with teams across the company to ensure smooth execution
  • Work closely with and partner with finance and strategy teams to perform analysis on key business initiatives and emerging trends. Evaluate ways to communicate insights to the investment community and lead in putting recommendations forward
  • Track key financials and qualitative public disclosures to help in preparation of future materials. Also, work with corporate and brand communications teams to ensure consistent messaging internally and externally
  • Collaborating with finance and legal teams on Stock Exchange filings and other matters as needed, and align with other internal stakeholders in communications, and local operations, to build a better understanding of the company
  • Work closely with covering sell-side analysts to assist them to better understand the company's strategic and financial objectives. Communicate those expectations to senior executives (quarterly consensus).Answer inbound analyst and investor questions and manage equity research
  • Update and continuously improve the VEON Investor Relations website. Maintain and manage IR calendar, timelines, and events to ensure superior delivery to investors. Tracking shareholder ownership trends, investor regulatory filings, maintain and update shareholder data base
  • Create and maintain database of comparable telecom universe with valuation metrics. Prepare internal reports (IR Flash, IR daily, IR weekly, IR monthly). Analyze VEON and comparative company stock price performance and reasons behind
  • Support the organization of investor conferences, events, roadshows etc., including preparation of relevant materials for senior executives (C-suite). Other responsibilities as directed by the Group Director Investor Relations and Senior Executives

Critical Skills & Experience

  • At least 5+ years of previous work experience in telecoms finance related fields or investor relations
  • Excellent knowledge of Corporate Finance, external reporting and the financial markets
  • Experience in working with figures and facts and able to converse on equal level with all financial disciplines.
  • Knowledge about the rules and regulations on stock exchange listing and price sensitive information and Corporate Governance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. The ability to engage professionally with investors and analysts is a key element of the role.
  • Experience with working in an international environment and diverse cultures
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Business Administration, CFA or similar
  • Excellent understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Flexible approach and prepared to work outside of regular working hours
  • Highly confidential with a superb attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
