Senior Manager - Special Assignments

Role Overview

Leading initiatives and assignments related to special project reports requested by the Office of the President or the Comptroller General & Chief of Staff, DG - Central Strategic Affairs, including the preparation of specialized financial reports and in-depth analyses to support senior management and strategic decision-making. He also oversees complex financial projects and ensures compliance with local and international financial standards, in addition to enhancing the effectiveness of financial operations and achieving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of a special project reporting strategy aligned with the Department's strategy, identifying relevant strategic objectives and performance indicators.
• Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to special project reporting and ensuring their optimal implementation in daily operations.
• Follow up on the development of special project reporting methodologies, systems, and templates to ensure accurate production of financial information and data, and thus efficient and effective preparation and submission of relevant reports.
• Ability to research, conduct benchmarking, and develop new strategic projects related to the Department of Finance's work that contribute to the development and growth of the emirate.
• Prepare and review advanced special project reports and analyze financial performance to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
• Lead special financial projects and ensure procedures are implemented according to the highest standards.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, such as IPSAS, and local regulations, and ensure that special project reports reflect full compliance.
• Cooperate with other finance teams and various departments to ensure successful project implementation and the achievement of organizational objectives.
• Provide complex financial analyses and long-term financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Develop and update financial processes to enhance efficiency and ensure the effective achievement of financial objectives.
• Supervise work teams and provide them with the necessary guidance to achieve financial goals and contribute to the development of their professional skills.
• Provide the necessary support to the line manager and perform any other related tasks assigned.

Experience And Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field relevant to the job duties with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
• A master's degree in business administration, with a specialization in finance, is preferred.
• A specialized certification such as CA, CPA, CFA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
• Ability to lead a team to prepare special project reports. This includes experience in designing customized reports and possessing strong communication skills with partners.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and prepare reports for management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present financial information to relevant and non-specific partners.
