Visa is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and data-savvy Senior Manager of Sponsorship Strategy to join the CEMEA Marketing team. This role will be instrumental in shaping and executing a regional sponsorship strategy that aligns Visas brand, business, and commercial objectives across priority markets. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities, audience insight, and consultative selling skills to help drive impactful partnerships and client facing opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Sponsorship Strategy Planning
- Develop and evolve the regional sponsorships strategy across Visas priority verticals (sports, music, fashion, culture, etc.) in line with brand and business goals
- Collaborate with country marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective local activation
- Identify emerging opportunities and whitespace for brand relevance and innovation in sponsorships
- Talent Strategy
- Shape and manage a regional talent and influencer strategy, identifying and onboarding talent that aligns with Visas values and objectives
- Build scalable frameworks for talent selection, usage, rights management, and measurement
- Insights and Analytics
- Leverage internal and external data to evaluate sponsorship performance, audience relevance, and business impact.
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights to support investment decisions and improve program effectiveness.
- Lead development of client-ready, insight rich proposals that integrate audience, platform, and commercial data.
- Commercial Integration and Client Support
- Partner with Visas client marketing and sponsorship teams to support cobranded sponsorship proposals and activations
- Use audience segmentation and market intelligence to create compelling B2B narratives that match partner objectives with Visas assets.
- Serve as a strategic consultant to internal stakeholders and clients, helping translate sponsorship into business results
- Presentation and Communication
- Craft and deliver high impact presentations for internal leadership, clients, and partners
- Communicate strategy and insights with clarity and influence across a range of stakeholders
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Basic Qualification
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in sponsorship, marketing strategy, brand consultancy, or related fields.
- Proven experience in developing and executing sponsorship and/or talent strategies at a regional or global level.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills proficiency with tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
- Deep understanding of audience insight, segmentation, and how to match it to business objectives.
- Excellent presentation development and storytelling skills (PowerPoint, Keynote).
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across functions and levels.
- Experience in working across diverse cultures and geographies, ideally within the CEMEA region.
- Experience in payments, financial services, or tech is an advantage
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Fluent in English additional regional languages are a plus.
