About the role:

Senior Mechanical Engineer working as part of a team, on projects through all lifecycle stages in the design phase of the project

Responsibilities:

• Define Mechanical Building Services Engineering strategies and undertake detailed design works across various project types in the Middle East
• Be part of a team that deliver high quality Building Services Engineering designs on time by taking a hands on, technically focused approach. Knowledge of all MEP disciplines is key for successful coordination. A good understanding of structural and architectural disciplines is advantageous
• Develop technical calculations to meet the needs of a project. Knowledge of IES VE thermal simulation software is a must.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity 
• Be comfortable directly engaging with clients and delivering presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure that sustainable principles are embedded in all design aspects of mechanical services on projects
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
• Have an ability to control a deliverable, through close coordination with engineering, modelling and project stakeholders to deliver concise designs.
  
  
  

Requirements

• 6+ years post-qualification experience with broad mechanical design consulting experience on large but diverse projects.
• Confident and clear communicator who is happy regularly interfacing with our clients.
• Experience in working independently to manage resources, Commercial and Technical delivery of the project.
• Ability to develop detailed project task plans and produce designs in complex building projects.
• Have a detailed understanding of all the MEP systems to coordinate with the architects and other sub-consultants.
• Detailed knowledge of Codes applicable across the Middle East region
• Sound computer proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, MS Project, Power Point);
• High Proficiency in design & coordination tools such as IES VE, Revit & Navisworks
• Knowledge of LEED & WELL Building accreditations with project experience
