We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our consultancy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and execution of consultancy services under contract with our clients. This role involves resource vs workload planning, KPIs, deliverables, and building rapport with clients and the wider consulting team.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our consultancy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and execution of consultancy services under contract with our clients. This role involves resource vs workload planning, KPIs, deliverables, and building rapport with clients and the wider consulting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Company representative with clients and selected subcontractors during program execution, frequently interfacing with upper-level management and client personnel.
- Negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and key subcontractors.
- Market and secure additional work with clients.
- Follow up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
- Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
- Oversee the establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other required documents.
- Establish program requirements for all areas of the project and monitor draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
- Provide advice on field engineering procedures, construction methods, and financial matters to management.
- Work with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for various elements of a project.
- Ensure that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
- Devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
- Maintain current and timely change orders.
- Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions affecting project cost or schedule.
- Establish weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Draw on technical knowledge and experience to develop the most effective and efficient solutions for moderately complex problems without the benefit of defined procedures.
- Deal with less routine technical or operational problems with limited supervision and solve moderately difficult problems that are not immediately evident, possibly requiring guidance from a more senior team member.
- Lead the development and submission of proposals for routine, low-risk projects, or contribute to the development of proposals for moderately complex projects.
- Develop the business by maintaining client relationships and ensuring client loyalty and repeat work through excellent customer service and delivery.
- Lead and oversee the work of the project team to achieve project milestones and objectives, including allocating tasks, ensuring compliance, setting priorities, reprioritizing as required, and coordinating and supervising daily activities of the team while providing feedback on their performance.
- Train direct reports/team members on the job.
- Provide recommendations on resourcing (people) requirements for specific projects in the Region to more senior team members and influence decisions.
- Provide informal guidance to graduates or interns (not a job requirement) and input to performance reviews and development plans for assigned personnel.
- Proven experience in project management within consultancy services.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure additional work with clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop effective solutions.
- Experience in resource planning, KPIs, and deliverables management.
- Ability to lead and oversee project teams to achieve milestones and objectives.
