The Project

Large residential masterplan community consisting of villas, townhouses and all associated infrastructure.

Senior design manager is accountable for the delivery of MEP services on projects to the agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety and quality requirements.

Ensures high-quality, time-efficient and profitable delivery, whilst providing leadership and accountability for compliance, governance, assurance and management of teams of technical and construction.

Builds and retains key working relationships with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Manages the MEP team with professionalism, providing clear direction and ensuring alignment with Mace standards.
• Accountable for MEP delivery, including programme, health & safety, quality, and commissioning.
• Builds strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Manages tendering processes, offering technical and commercial support to bids and leadership.
• Defines procurement strategies and ensures packages are aligned with scope and budget.
• Reviews contracts and scopes, supporting budgeting, scheduling, and commercial issue resolution.
• Implements strategic project plans aligned with Mace priorities like C2P, commissioning, and safety.
• Oversees design reviews, ensuring compliance, coordination, and sustainability (carbon/energy).
• Coordinates delivery strategies, considering milestones, logistics, and sequencing.
• Drives commissioning strategies using Mace standards, including IST, ATPs, and soft landings.
• Uses digital tools to assess productivity, track progress, and identify risks or delays.
• Manages project close-out, ensuring high-quality delivery of commissioning, O&M manuals, and training.
• Identifies and mitigates risks, ensuring proactive planning and resolution.
• Promotes continuous improvement, sharing lessons learned and driving innovation.
• Provides leadership and coaching and supporting team development.
  
  

You’ll Need To Have

• Experience working in the United Arab Emirates is essential for client approval.
• SMSTS and CSCS card.
• Degree qualification in relevant field.
