We are seeking an ambitious and personable MRICS Chartered Senior Quantity Surveyor, who wants to develop their career in Quantity Surveying and Cost Management.

Gleeds in the United Arab Emirates has an exciting opportunity, supporting a prestigious client on a major mixed use development in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
We are seeking an ambitious and personable MRICS Chartered Senior Quantity Surveyor, who wants to develop their career in Quantity Surveying and Cost Management.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering pre and post contract cost management services
- Managing projects to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the Gleeds procedures.
- Positively engaging with Clients and developing, growing and maintaining Client relationships.
- Delivering high quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet Clients’ requirements.
- Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates
- Advising on and implementing procurement strategies.
- Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
- Valuing completed work and arranging for payments.
- Providing senior technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects.
- Producing and presenting reports to Clients.
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
- 10+ years post graduate demonstrable experience in cost management / quantity surveying
- 3+ years living and working in Abu Dhabi, within a consulting environment
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning.
- Practical knowledge of working with Abu Dhabi entities.
- Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written
- Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
- MRICS chartered status
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field
- Fluent English written and oral skills
- Arabic desirable
