Job Purpose

We're equipped to provide a wide range of exclusive tailor-made services - from planning, contracting hotel space, transfers, arrivals and in-resort assistance, to organising excursions and safaris and managing events.
As a Senior Sales and Events Executive you will, plan sales to attract corporate clients and Meeting Incentives and Corporate Events (MICE) agencies to the UAE and Oman by proposing innovative and creative itineraries, providing detailed and competitive costings for events, including actioning of the request for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure the best chance of conversion and meet the annual budget and strategic priorities of the department. Liaise with external and internal suppliers ensuring that quality service is provided in order to establish Arabian Adventures MIE as a market leader in the MICE Industry. Manage all requirements of the groups on ground from commencement to conclusion of the event when required.

In This Role, You Will
- Attract and capture the client’s interest in the destination by making quality, cost effective, and detailed proposals (within local laws and restrictions) resulting in competitive, innovative/creative tailor-made programs and follow through to ensure success of the event.
- Raise and maintain the reputation of Arabian Adventures MIE as one of the most innovative and creative DMCs in the region.
- Review/analyse market trends and give recommendations to management on sales lead for conversions.
- Ensure an efficient turnaround/response time for RFPs, queries and action points to and from clients both during the sales and operational phases.
- Develop, maintain and enhance long term relations with external suppliers and service providers; Negotiate competitive rates and services at all levels on an independent basis ensuring maximum profitability for Arabian Adventures MIE and assisting the department in achieving its annual targets.
- Create operational Event Orders prior to the client’s arrival, liaising with operations team and suppliers.
- Independently plan, schedule, organise and execute events or groups from commencement to conclusion ensuring a high-quality service throughout the entire customer journey.
- Ensure all relevant systems are updated accurately and timely. Review accuracy of financial data, customer data and generate reports to aid future planning, leads and recommendations.
- Ensure that the Company's payment & cancellation policy is applied by liaising and following up with the clients and suppliers to ensure that all deposits & payments are received and paid prior to the groups arrival.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Hold a degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) and 3+ years in Commercial/Sales.
- Experience in a MIE environment in a sales/events co-ordination or operational capacity.
- A proven track record, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work with a multinational team and able to influence and negotiate successful and sustainable outcomes.
- Highly motivated and able to work autonomously within pre-set guidelines. Good attention to detail and quality of work.
- Working knowledge of the MIE industry and its demands.
- Good knowledge of the UAE as a destination and its culture and heritage.
- Good knowledge of UAE hotels and the service industry.
- Ability to attend entertainment events outside of normal working hours.
